ABOUT THE AUTHOR

THE PERSON BEHIND THE BOOK

Vitalii’s professional path has moved through law, legal leadership, business consulting, insurance, risk, and artificial intelligence. He has spent years working in environments where decisions have consequences – contracts, business problems, coverage, uncertainty, and the practical question of what to do when perfect information does not exist.

Born in Ukraine and later rebuilding his life in the United States, he has had to begin again more than once. Those beginnings changed the way he thinks about time, work, freedom, resilience, and the difference between controlling a life and learning how to meet it.

That experience shaped a habit that runs through both his professional work and his writing: look carefully before acting, make room for what is actually there, and treat every new beginning as a chance to choose a better direction.

WHY MONDAY

For years, Monday began for me on Sunday night.

Before the week had even started, work was already shaping the night. I would lie awake thinking about Monday, the decisions waiting for me, and everything that needed to be done. Sleep – something I came to value as a foundation for clear thinking and sustainable work – was often the first thing the coming week seemed to take away.

Later, after leaving my role leading a legal department and no longer working on Mondays, the meaning of the day changed. What had felt like pressure became space. Monday became the morning when I could sleep until my body was ready, slow down while the rest of the world accelerated, reconsider my plans, spend time with myself, and notice things that rushing had made invisible.

That reversal became the beginning of The Philosophy of Monday. Monday was never the enemy. The day itself had not changed; my relationship to it had.

I began to understand that the way a week begins leaves a trace. The first hour matters. Attention matters. Rhythm matters. And when a week goes badly, the answer is not perfection – it is return.

For me, Monday is now a symbol of freedom, optimism, and beginning again. There will always be another Monday: another chance to slow the start, notice what is here, and enter the week differently.

BEYOND THE BOOK

Outside the book, Vitalii works across law, business, insurance, risk, and artificial intelligence.

He founded Cover AI, where his work focuses on insurance, business risk, and the use of modern technology to make complex decisions clearer and more understandable.

Those fields may look different from literature and philosophy, but they keep returning to the same human questions: How do we make decisions under uncertainty? What deserves our attention? What can technology make easier – and what should remain deeply human?

Law taught him to respect structure and consequence. Insurance and risk taught him to live with uncertainty. Business taught him trade-offs. Artificial intelligence keeps raising new questions about judgment and attention. Literature and philosophy make room for questions that should not be rushed.

MondayHub is where those threads meet: attention, rhythm, return, human decision-making, and the practice of beginning again.
